As a result of our growth, Mölnlycke Health Care, US LLC is dedicated to producing products closer to our customers. That’s why we are investing in and building a new Wound Care manufacturing site at Brunswick Landing in Brunswick, Maine USA. This project will bring 100 new jobs and $37 million dollars to Brunswick, a trend Governor Paul LePage say's he'll keep pushing. The ground breaking ceremony took place on June 21, 2011.
Pierre Guyot, CEO, the entire Executive team, the Wiscasset team, along with James G. Wetrich, President & General Manager of The Americas, the local media, the state governor and other state officials were on hand for the ceremony. Under a clear blue sky and hot sun, Maine governor Paul LePage welcomed Mölnlycke Health Care to the “great state of Maine” and committed to do his part to make Maine “open for business”, especially to good businesses like Mölnlycke Health Care.
Mr. Guyot called the groundbreaking “historic and strategic in terms of our expansion into the US.” Phil Cooper, Global President of Wound Care and Jim Wetrich captured the crowd’s attention when they outlined our goal to be #1 globally in wound care and listed some of the hospitals and burn centers where
Mölnlycke Health Care products are making a huge difference in patients’ lives. The new building is scheduled to be completed in July 2012. Clas Bolander, Sourcing Director for Wound Care and Claes Erlandsson, Project Manager, Manufacturing Support are actively working from Sweden with the team in Wiscasset to make this happen.
